MySchools Video Contest.
University Visitor's Network (UVN) exists as a resource for college-bound students and their parents in order to assist prospective student in the college selection and preparation process. UVN has profiles of 1,600 four-year colleges and universities and provides information on the following topics: student lifestyle, social environment, the college community in which the university is located, college cost, study abroad programs, financing, volunteering, networking, shopping, and more. UVN is now hosting the MySchools Video Contest that is designed to encourage enrolled college or university students to submit positive videos about any aspect of their college or university experience. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and submit videos 1-10 minutes in length. Entries will be judged on the following equally weighted criteria: originality, creativity, appeal to a worldwide audience, and clear description of the college or university experience. The grand-prize winner will receive a $5,000 tuition award that will be paid directly to the winner's college or university. The second-place winner will receive an Apple iPod classic, and the third-place winner will receive a Panasonic Blu-Ray DVD Player.
