My mind-control weight-loss secret.

Byline: Rachel Mainwaring

SARAH HART loved the double wedding she shared with her sister Amanda - but looking back at the photographs, the difference between the two sisters was glaringly obvious.

As they smiled under the Cyprus sun, Sarah, now 30, was a size 24, 21st bride in a huge, made-to-measure dress, while her older sister, Amanda, was a size eight, weighing 8st 7lb.

Leafing through the wedding album a couple of years later shamed Sarah into losing weight - and she's now half the woman she used to be after losing a whopping 11'st.

She is now able to share clothes with Amanda, 35, who lives opposite her in Caerphilly, after gastric mind band therapy - where she was hypnotised into believing she had a stomach the size of a golf ball - helped her shed the weight.

After the [ETH]1,000 treatment in Spain, mum-of-two Sarah started eating tiny portions and lost more than 11st in less than two years - now tipping the scales at 9st 7lb.

The travel agent said: "I loved my wedding day but my dress was absolutely huge. I needed to have it custom made. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't slightly envious of my sister who effortlessly slipped into a stunning little dress.

"I suppose my size was always in the back of my mind, but I was in denial at the time, because I was in love and happy. My weight ballooned again after the wedding and it was only when I really struggled to do a seatbelt up on an aeroplane that I realised I needed to do something.

"I was unhealthy and realised my kids Harrison, five, and Marshall, three, deserved a healthier mum."

Within weeks of the aircraft incident she spotted an article about the Elite Clinic in Marbella, Spain, which specialises in gastric mind band therapy.

The hypnotherapy sessions took place in March 2010.

During the procedure, computer-driven equipment pumped a range of aromas into the room including those of a hospital ward, operating theatre and even the recovery room.

Sarah, who now works out four or five times a week, said: "I feel so much better now. If I want chocolate, I eat chocolate, but just not five bars of it.

"And I can't eat too much because I feel full, so I eat smaller portions."
