My Undiscovered Country: Short Stories.

My Undiscovered Country: Short Stories By Cyril Dabydeen/Paperback | November 15, 2017/ Mosaic Press, Oakville, ON

Cyril Dabydeen's latest collection of stories depicts life in Guyana interspersed with the urban landscape of Canada where he has been living since the 1970s. His stories are distinctive with a strong narrative voice that encompasses fantasy and reality as ethnic and cultural roots commingle. The author's inflection is mixed with motifs when the tropics and the temperate merge. For Dabydeen, literature is "undiscovered country." Critics have called him a "short story master."

Cyril Dabydeen has taught Creative Writing at the University of Ottawa for many years, and is a former Poet Laureate of Ottawa. His work has appeared in over 60 literary magazines and anthologies world-wide. My Undiscovered Country adds to his numerous books of novels, short stories and poetry.
