My First Computer Book.

BOOTING UP MY FIRST COMPUTER BOOK Accompanied by MY FIRST SOFTWARE. Workman Publishing Co., New York, NY, 1991. $17.95 per package.

The world of computers has a new addition in a rather unique package specifically developed and produced for the very young hacker. It is made up of a small sixty-four page booklet and a floppy disk that introduces children to computers. Each of the five programs on the disk is keyed to a relevant section of the text, but each can be used independently. A cartoon character, Bialosky Bear is the hook used to direct children in the mechanics of a PC, how to get it working, and how to paint pictures, compose a tune, create stories, solve mysteries and so on. This is a unique resource that can have value for those who plug young children into computers.

The computer program runs on the IBM PC, PC-XT, PC-AT, PS/2, PS/1, and compatible computers. It requires an EGA or VGA color monitor and graphics card, 384K memory, one disk drive, and DOS version 2.0 or later. A Microsoft compatible mouse and hard disk is recommended.
