Anton Danyluk's mum is delighted her son has found his Disney princess in Belle Hassan and hopes they will be this year's Love Island winners.

Sherie Ann said her boy has spent years searching for a real-life Belle and she is looking forward to welcoming her to the family home in Blackridge, West Lothian.

The 55-year-old, who runs a popcorn business with husband Michael, 54, also revealed she didn't blame Belle for getting angry with Anton for snogging fellow islander Anna Vakili during a challenge.

Sherie Ann, who has just joined Instagram as "Anton's mum who shaves his bum" and already has more than 15,000 followers, said: "When he was a wee boy, we took Anton to Disneyland Paris.

"Beauty and the Beast was out and, after the show, we were in the shop and he made us buy him a Belle doll.

"The universe works in magical, mysterious ways. It just goes to prove dreams really do come true for those who truly believe.

"Belle seems to have the traditional, loyal family values that Anton has been looking for in a girl.

"They are qualities I have brought him up to believe are important."

She added: "I think the pair of them have what it takes to win the whole show and I hope Scotland will get behind them both over the next two weeks.

It looked like it was all over when the pair had a screaming match at the Island Club, with Anton telling the boys he was considering ending the relationship.

After sleeping on it, the couple got back together and have been going strong ever since.

Sherie Ann said: "I thought it was out of order when he kissed Anna.

"He deserved everything he got from Belle. I could see her point and I could see his. She could've handled it a bit better but anger got the better of her.

"As for giving the checkout girl his number, that was Anton just bantering with the boys, which is the way Belle took it, too.

"I think he made the right decision making up with Belle and, as he said, he now knows her likes and dislikes."

Sherie Ann, who made headlines when she admitted shaving her son's behind, was not worried when Anton was removed from the villa last week due to ill health.

She added: "The ITV team were great at keeping me informed so I knew my boy was in good hands."

The businesswoman, who will be heading into the villa for the Meet the Parents episode if Anton and Belle survive the next few days, can't wait to see her son.

She said: "He has always been a mummy's boy. We're very close and I miss him so much.

"I will be giving him a big hug.

"I can't wait to tell him how amazing he is and how proud we are."
