Muzaffar assures KP's IT dept staff of upgradation on early basis.
PESHAWAR -- Provincial Minister for Finance Muzaffar Syed has assured the IT staff of all the government departments to take up the matter of up-gradation and its resolution on immediate basis. After the assurance of minister, the IT staff has announced to end the 3 days long strike on Wednesday.
The strike call was given by IT Staff Association of Provincial Secretariat due to derogations in up-gradation matter. After the strike, the preparations for upcoming budget, performance of finance department, planning and development, excise and taxation had effected.
The IT staff termed the strike as computer shut down strike while they demanded to up-grade the officers of this cadre like others.
However, recommendations for up-gradation compiled by special committee constituted by chief secretary were pending. According to sources, the committee has finalized the recommendations and the IT staff demanded for implementing the committees recommendations by issuing a notification.
Provincial Minister for Finance Muzaffar Syed Advocate on his visit to strike camp assured that the up-gradation would be made possible in the light of recommendations of the committee adding that he would take up the issue personally for the solution of the problem.
President IT Staff Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Syed Habib expressed the satisfaction over the assurance of finance minister and announced to repatriate to their respective offices. He hoped that government would up-grade the IT staff under the recommendations of committee soon.
