Mustaqbil Pakistan aims to make a mark in general elections: Qureshi.

PESHAWAR -- At a time when everyone is speaking of change there is one political party that is speaking of change in an unorthodox and non traditional manner. Mustaqbil Pakistan, a political party that is only two years old, is getting ready for the next general elections with aim not to win seats but to get recognition to their stance.

Founding Chariman of the party Nadeem Mumtaz Qureshi, an engineer by profession, talking to The Frontier Post during his visit to the newspaper's office said that Mustaqbil Pakistan was formed with an aim to change the political leadership in the country. "We need public representatives that are educated, honest, and professionals to bring the country out of crises," Nadeem Qureshi said.

He said that his party was moving against the tide. "It is not easy to change the traditional politics in Pakistan but it is possible and we hope that soon people will accept our stance on change in politics," Qureshi said.

When asked about contesting the next general elections, the Chief of Mustaqbil Pakistan said that he himself would be contesting polls from NA 149 Multan besides filing candidates in other areas of Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for national and provincial assemblies. He said that the change he had brought in the Pakistani politics was that his party would not filed any candidate that has already been a member of provincial of national assembly. "All the candidates of our party would be new," Qureshi added.

He said that his party was not looking to win the general elections but was targeting the 2018 general elections. "By then our party would be among the top political parties and with people of the country already knowing the real face of the landlords in Pakistan thanks to the media, soon the people would get rid of them," he added.

Qureshi said that he made the political party along with the professional educated elite of the country and registered it with Election Commission of Pakistan in 2010.
