Must address footy decline; Letters.

IN watching the Championship for the first time on TV, I was struck by the emptiness of the stands in the majority of these games, bearing out what I forecasted years ago that our game was on a massive slide with empty stands and the majority of players on the field of foreign extraction.

In my humble opinion, the only way to arrest the decline is firstly to go back to terraces to increase capacity and reduce ticket prices, secondly revise players' contracts to an economical level and thirdly restrict all clubs to two foreign players only. Finally, we should go back to the old progressive structure of the first-team, reserves and 'A' and 'B' teams. But I'm afraid it will never happen.
