Trash and treasure

for sale at WOW Hall

One man's Color Me Badd is another man's Beethoven, which is why the WOW Hall, 291 W. Eighth Ave., once again will host its T-Shirt, Memorabilia & Rummage Sale this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Along with all sorts of CDs, you'll find tapes, videos, posters, photos and band T-shirts - not to mention the rummage sale goodies.

Clothes, shoes, books, magazines, electronics, household items and school, office and pet supplies will be for sale.

Festival features a lot

of bands, a lot of clubs

MusicfestNW, the three-day Portland festival featuring 200 Northwest bands and 20 clubs, continues through Saturday.

Previously known as the North by Northwest music festival, the event features an expanded lineup from last year. Headliners include Maktub and Israel Vibration today and Pedro the Lion, Dead Moon and the Eugene-bred Floater on Saturday.

Jacobs-Strain will bring the blues to Elkton

NorthernBlues Music recording artist and Eugene bluesman David Jacobs-Strain will perform at the Brandborg Winery, 345 First St., in Elkton on Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door.

Appetizers will be served and wine and nonalcoholic beverages will be sold. For information, call (541) 584-2870.

It's hard to argue with free, and shows almost always are free at the Tiny Tavern, 394 Blair Blvd.

The Whiteaker neighborhood haunt will host Eugene's own indie rock mavens Pellet Gun today, along with the Corvallis act Dot Dot Dot and Portland's the Miss.

The show starts at 10 p.m.
