Music: White Van man delivery... Clubbing.

Byline: Michelle Ruane reports

FOR the past 14 years the Sugarshack name has been known to dance music fans. As one of the country's longest running weekly dance nights, it's attracted clubbers from across the country to The Empire in Middlesbrough.

As well as bringing some of the world's best known DJs to Teesside, the night has also featured in dance magazines, radio shows and on MTV.

Over the last near a decade and a half they've welcomed the likes of Paul Oakenfold, John Digweed, ) Jeremy Healy, Roger Sanchez and Erick Morillo to name just a few of many DJs.

Tonight, marking Sugarshack's 14th birthday bash, they've lined up a three-hour set from PAUL VAN DYK, who played at the club's 10th birthday party.

The Berlin-based DJ and producer has had sold-out tours across each continent, played every major festival, and has sold more than three million albums worldwide.

Brought up in East Berlin, he started DJing in the early 1990s and released his first album in 1994. His first compilation Politics Of Dancing was released in 2001; followed in 2003 by Global, a DVD based on his experiences travelling the world.

Also playing on the night will be OLI FAULKNER and LUKE TERRY. Tickets are pounds 20 with doors 10pm to 4am.

RIFF Raff returns to the Purple Onion's Cellar Bar nightclub in Middlesbrough tonight with JAMES MOWBRAY of Four:Twenty Records.

He will be joined by PAUL BOWEN, GOW, L PENNINGTON, SEAN PEACOCK and PAUL CROOK. Doors 10pm to 2am.

Tomorrow night the Cellar Bar welcomes the Trinity Rooms Tour to Teesside with KC, JOHNNY DA BOMB and JON GREGORY.

GARY BECKETT and CARLOS DEL GRAPOS will be playing in the venue's upstairs area. Doors are 10pm to 2am.

ELECTRO masters HOXTON WHORES (Gary Dedman and Kevin Andrews) are playing at Rouge at the Cornerhouse tomorrow night.

They've been DJing for around 15 years and have also turned their hands to producing over the past three years.

As remixers the pair have worked with the likes of Faithless, Moloko and Todd Terry.

Their sound ranges from tough and funky disco to more electro and progressive sounds. Doors 10pm.
