Music: Music junkie.

Byline: with Ian Cottrell DJ and presenter of S4C's Friday night series Popcorn

The party went very well. Music, dancing, boozing and schmoozing. Then, at 2am, someone handed me a bottle of champagne. I have a faint recollection of dancing to `I've Had The Time Of My Life' from `Dirty Dancing' and then everything going a bit Pete Tong. I woke up on Sunday morning, aged 30 with a black eye. Nice present eh?

This Saturday will be a far quieter affair. It's pipe'n'slippers for me as I take my front row seat in St Davids Hall for the long-awaited return to the stage of Cerys Matthews. I'm one of those people who saw Catatonia in what seems like every single gig they did from 1992 until 1999. And every single gig was sheer joy. You can imagine how I'm feeling about tomorrow's gig then! Grown-up Cerys. Pregnant Cerys. Folky Cerys. What a difference a few years make. Do you think I should take a flask and some biscuits? And perhaps some towels and hot water?

Whatever happens, you can expect a full review next week, when I'll be sending you my column from sunny Ibiza! Oh yes, the time has finally come my friends. The pilgrimage is about to begin. For two whole weeks my life will revolve around music, clubs and dj's - Pacha, El Divino, Hed Kandi, Def Mix, Masters At Work, Frankie Knuckles, the list (and the beat) goes on...

Until next time, adios amigos!!
