Musanada awards Khidmah $5m ADACH Al-Ain contract.

Khidmah has secured a $5m contract for the facilities management of five sites for ADACH in Al Ain.

The three year contract for the Al Ain National Museum, Jahili Fort, Qattara Art Community Centre, Qar Al Muwaiji and Al Ain Palace Museum , was awarded through Musanada after Khidmah's successful mobilisation of staff and services for 17 sites for ADACH in Abu Dhabi.

"These sites are part of the cultural heritage of the UAE and Khidmah is honoured to contribute in the conservation and maintenance of these historical sites by offering its services," said Abdulla Al Qamzi, Managing Director of Khidmah.

"Achievement of this contract highlights our ability to deliver great value through a unique combination of good quality services and competitive prices," he added.

When asked whether Khidmah would tailor its services differently from those offered at the Abu Dhabi ADACH sites, Brad Robbins, director services, said: "the Al Ain sites are more heritage related and of historic value and serve different purposes to the community. They are exclusive sites and need a different skill set to maintain."

The contract will see Khidmah deliver MEP services, civil maintenance, landscaping services, cleaning, pest control, security services along with hospitality services. Robbins added that there were plans to implement a number of sustainability initiatives on the project, particularly because a lot of the buildings were e built recently and with many sustainable functions in place. Khidmah will mobilise 96 staff to the project from December 2011, Security services will also be provided through an outsourced specialised company.
