Murphy to ride Armaturk on Warwick return.

TIMMY MURPHY expects to make his return from injury aboard Paul Nicholls' Armaturk in the Grade 2 Michael Page International Kingmaker Novices' Chase at Warwick tomorrow.

The jockey, who has been receiving physiotherapy since pulling muscles in a shoulder when unseated from No Need For Alarm at Plumpton on Monday, said yesterday: "It was very, very sore on Tuesday morning. I had trouble lifting it, but the more physio I have on it, the better it gets.

"It is getting better by the day and it should be fine for Saturday. I will probably have just the one ride, because I don't want to push it."

Armaturk, 23-length winner of a Newbury novice chase at the end of December, is a 14-1 chance with Coral for the Irish Independent Arkle Trophy at Cheltenham next month.

With Murphy on duty at Warwick, Joe Tizzard will partner Nicholls' Valley Henry in the Grade 2 Amlin Reynoldstown Novices' Chase at Ascot tomorrow.

ARKLE CHASE

Coral: 4 Seebald, 5 Barton, Moscow Flyer, 6 Fondmort, 10 Blue Royal, 12 Youlneverwalkalone, 14 Armaturk, Royal Auclair, 16 Batswing, Europa, Grimes, 20 bar.
