Mureed Abbas murder case transferred to anti-terrorist court.

Karachi -- A Judicial magistrate on Tuesday approved transfer of Mureed abbas murder case to an anti-terrorist court.

Mureed Abbas- a senior TV host- , along with his friend Khizar Hayat was murdered by Atif Zaman in Karachi's Defence area last month.

JudicIal Magistrate (South) heard the police's application seeking transfer of the double murder case to the Anti-Terrorist Court.

During the hearing of the case, the suspect's lawyer opposed the inclusion of terrorism charges in the case against his client.

He argued that Mureed Abbas, Khizar Hayat and Atif Zaman had a financial dispute thus terrorism clauses were not applicable in that case.

The investigation officer, in his argument said that Atif Zaman had committed the murderers to send a clear message to others that they would see a similar fate.

After hearing the arguments, the court approved the police's application seeking transfer of the case to the anti-terrorist court.
