Murder denied; NORTH TODAY COURT.

A TEENAGER has denied the murder of a man at a house party.

Cole Wilson, 20, from Walker, Newcastle, suffered fatal stab wounds in an alleged attack.

John Blackburn appeared before Newcastle Crown Court over a video link to Holme House Prison in Stockton where he is being held on remand.

The 19-year-old, of Holywell Avenue, Walker, pleaded not guilty to murder.

Blackburn spoke only to answer his name, enter his not guilty plea, and confirm he had understood the proceedings. He was further remanded in custody and made no application for bail.

A post-mortem examination found Cole died from stab wounds to chest and head following the alleged attack at a house in Peterlee, Co Durham, last September.
