Mums to be blamed for kid's obesity.

Melbourne, December 3 ( ANI ): What a mother eats during pregnancy and what she feeds her child for the first three years of its life plays an important role in whether it will grow up to become fat, according to an obesity conference in Canberra.

Obesity Australia chief Professor John Funder said that children of women who diet during pregnancy as well as those who overeat are more likely to grow up to be overweight.

On the other hand, children fed high carbohydrates, high salt and high fat diets while they are toddlers will have their brains wired to desire these foods for the rest of their lives.

"It may mean you are dealing with someone who is always hungry," the Herald Sun quoted Funder as telling News Limited. ( ANI )
