Mukherjee felicitates Pakistan ahead of its Independence Day.

New Delhi, Aug.13 ( ANI ): President Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of Pakistan on the occasion of that country's Independence Day, which falls on Wednesday (August 14).

In a message to President Asif Ali Zardari, President Mukherjee said:"On the occasion of the Independence Day of Pakistan, I have the pleasure of conveying, on behalf of the Government and the people of India, our felicitations to the Government and the people of Pakistan.

I take this opportunity to reiterate India's commitment to building a friendly and cooperative relationship with Pakistan that leads to peace in our region and progress and prosperity of our peoples". ( ANI )
