Karachi [Pakistan], June 24 ( ANI ): Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud has been appointed as the new chief of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), following Mullah Fazlullah's death.

On June 13, Fazlullah along with his four lieutenants was killed in a US drone strike in north-eastern Afghanistan.

"Like his predecessors Baitullah Mehsud and Hakimullah Mehsud, Mullah Fazlullah was killed in a US drone strike at 11 pm on the 27th Ramazan," The Express Tribune quoted TTP's central spokesperson Umar Khurasani as saying.
