Mozambique : LAM resumes scheduled operations to the north-eastern port town of NACALA.
On December 7, LAM - Linhas Aereas de Mocambique has restarted scheduled operations to the north-eastern port town of Nacala, after the facility completes it's 3-year long renovation programme.
Mozambique in accordance with the city's growing economic prominence invested over US$100 million towards the project which now boasts 16 check-in desks, two departure lounges (for domestic and international flights), an extended primary runway, and a cargo handling terminal.
LAM will be using its MEX - Mocambique Expresso subsidiary's ERJ-145s, to operate a 3x weekly service to Maputo. Further, the airline plans to open up flights to Mumbai Int'l and Dubai Int'l with the receipt of more B737-700s which are scheduled for delivery later next year.
