Mouth cancer bus ride.

MOUTH cancer experts from University Hospital Aintree are taking the bus to spread the word about mouth care.

As part of National Mouth Cancer Action Week the Regional Maxillofacial Unit, based at Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, is reaching out into the community.

Maxillofacial consultant Professor Simon Rogers said: "Early diagnosis and referral is essential as less treatment is needed and cure rates and 'quality of life' are much better."

The unit will be on board the Knowsley Health Promotion bus today, travelling round the borough to spread the message about mouth cancer awareness. See www.headandneckcancer.co.uk
