Moussa Calls for Lifting Siege on Gaza.

Cairo, (SANA)-Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa Monday called for lifting the unjust Israeli siege on Gaza Strip, voicing support to any humanitarian move to help the people of Gaza. In a press conference at the Arab League headquarters to announce the 2009 harvest in the Arab political, economic, social and cultural causes, Moussa said Goldstone report on the Israeli aggression on Gaza was adopted by the Human Rights Council and the UN General Assembly. He stressed need for the international community to implement the report which allows for persecuting Israeli war criminals. Moussa added that there won't be a peace deal with Israel that rules out Jerusalem, describing it as crucial for the establishment of a Palestinian state. He said it is a great mistake to launch the peace process between the Israelis and Palestinians without stopping the Israeli settlement-building and setting a time frame for this process. He underlined the importance of the United Nations in these negotiations. Manal Ismael/Mazen
