Motorola Inc (NYSE:MOT) announced on Wednesday (22 October) the launch of remote device management for its IPTV set-tops.

The company said that its NBBS device management system will now enable service providers to speed up the delivery of personal media experiences with new services, improved customer satisfaction and lower operational costs.

The solution is a scaleable, carrier-grade software platform that enables operators to remotely access, configure, monitor and troubleshoot a full portfolio of consumer devices, home networks and services.

The NBBS platform supports multiple protocols such as TR-069, telnet and HTTP management interfaces for integration into service providers' existing networks, including provisioning, billing and customer support across multi-vendor CPE.
