Motoring: Topless record.

MORE people have bought convertible cars this year even though the weather has been wetter, new research showed this week.

The biggest growth has been in Wales, the area of the UK with the most rain over the past three months. The smallest increase was in East Anglia, thearea with the lowest amount of rain so far this year.

A report by insurance firm Privilege showed that 30,000 open top cars were bought in the first quarter of the year, a 36% increase on the same period last year.
