Motor Racing: Schu leaves pack trailing.

MICHAEL SCHUMACHER, even-money favourite with Ladbrokes to retain his Formula One crown, is 6-4 with the same firm to take the opening race of the season in Melbourne on March 4.

Ladbrokes go 12-1 bar last year's top three drivers - Schumacher, Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard.

Scot Coulthard is the main mover in the drivers championship market, in from 4-1 to 7-2. Otherwise, Juan Pablo Montoya, Ralf Schumacher, Jensen Button and Giancarlo Fisichella have all drifted from already big prices.

Button, who will race at Melbourne for the first time in his new Benetton colours, is 66-1 for a winning start.
