Motor Racing: Magistretti mission.

Magistretti may try to atone for his disappointing run in the Vodafone Derby by running in the Group One Grand Prix de Paris at Longchamp on Sunday.

Neville Callaghan's Dante Stakes winner made up a lot of ground in the straight at Epsom to finish ninth to Kris Kin.

Other British acceptors for the French 12-furlong feature are Illustrator, trained by Sir Michael Stoute, John Gosden's Ikhtyar and Godolphin's Lateen Sails.

Aidan O'Brien has cut his options at the second acceptance stage to Balestrini, Alberto Giacometti and Spartacus.

John Gosden's Summerland, who was 11th in the Derby, is one of two British acceptors remaining in the Group Three Prix du Lys at Longchamp on Sunday.

New South Wales, Godolphin's Irish acquisition, also has the option of a crack at the mile-and-a-half race.

David Loder's Royal Dignitary is one of five British acceptors left in the Group Three Prix de la Porte Maillot on the same card.
