Mosca introduces stainless style.
Mosca, renowned for its expertise in the manufacture of end-of-line strapping solutions, has developed a range of IP56 rated stainless steel strappers ideal for use in food environments where washdown is required.
As with many FMCG markets, factories handling fresh foods such as meat, fish or fruit typically pack products into boxes for delivery by pallet. A robust, fast and effective strapping solution is essential to maintain the stability of boxes without compromising on production line throughputs. An additional consideration is the need to be able to wash down equipment for hygiene reasons.
Mosca enjoys a proven reputation for designing and building innovation, high-speed strapping equipment, and has now launched three models that combine Mosca's existing features with a stainless steel finish that is corrosion resistance and washdown tolerant to an IP56 rating.
This new venture has been made possible thanks to the development of Mosca's groundbreaking SoniXs ultrasonic sealing head. In addition to offering a faster, stronger seal, the absence of traditional heat-seal technology means that the machine can be washed down to defined IP standards.
The SoniXs-MP-VA and SoniXs-TRP-VA are automatic strapping machines capable of speeds of up to 50 and 30 straps per minute. In addition, the TRP has an optional pneumatic compression bar for stabilising boxes during strapping operation.
Alternatively, the RO-MS/TRS side sealer is an automatic or manually operated side-seal strapping system designed to prevents sealing head contamination and minimise maintenance issues. With a versatile track height that can accommodate a wide product mix, it can apply between 30 and 50 straps per minute.
