Morris's Echo has a shout; GOWRAN PARK.

IRISH GRAND National winner Hear The Echo has his first race over fences since his Fairyhouse triumph in the Red Mills Chase today.

His trainer Mouse Morris said: "It's going to be heavy ground and I just hope he runs respectably and gets his eye in."

Hear The Echo is prominent in the betting for the Aintree Grand National in April but he is not a certain runner as Morris feels the horse has been harshly treated by the handicapper who has given him 10st 11lb. "I just don't know whether we go for the Irish National again instead."

Hear The Echo will be partnered by Davy Russell who later in the afternoon will get the leg up on Solwhit in the Red Mills Trial Hurdle.

The gelding was a 1-3 shot when beaten at Thurles last time and is expected to find Jazz Messenger too strong today.
