Morocco : HM King Mohammed VI Inaugurates Socio-cultural Center in Tit Mellil.
HM King Mohammed VI inaugurated on Wednesday in the municipality of Tit Mellil, province of Mediouna (20 km south of Casablanca), a socio-cultural center, as part of the landmark anti-poverty program "National Initiative for Human Development" (INDH).
The socio-cultural center (8 million dirhams) will build on achievements of the first stage of the INDH program in the municipality of Tit Mellil.
The new center will contribute to the development of the target population through cultural, educational and social activities that encourage openness to knowledge, creativity and the development of the youth s potentials, civism and sense of responsibility.
Built on an area of 3,330 square meters, the socio-cultural center includes painting and music workshops, a library, a reading room, a media room, a gym, a theater of 330 seats and an exhibition hall.
The center will also serve as an appropriate space for local associations to develop their activities and perform their civic duty.
The community center is an additional component of the 2015-2020 development plan of the Greater Casablanca region, launched in September 2014 by the Sovereign, with the aim of improving the living conditions of local inhabitants.
