Morgans Hotel Group Co (NASDAQ: MHGC), a hospitality company that owns and develops hotels and resorts in the US, has planned the launch of a new virtual concierge program available on iPads provided at guestrooms.

The new virtual concierge programme is a digital supplement to its GEM (guest engagement manager) services, which will use ICE (Interactive Customer Experience) technology owned by Intelity, a US-based hospitality software solution company focused on self-service marketplace.

Dave Weidlich, the company executive vice president of operations, said, 'This digital extension of our GEM program is truly innovative within the boutique hotel sector. This is an opportunity for Morgans Hotel Group to provide a unique and engaging guest experience, while staying on the cutting edge of technology.'
