Moretti is named Columbus Day parade sponsor.

Labatt Importers and the Columbus Citizens Foundation announced that Moretti beer will serve as the official beer sponsor of the New York City Columbus Day "Celebrate America" Parade planned for October 12.

According to a Labatt spokesperson, sponsorship of the Columbus Day Parade includes parade participation by a Moretti beer-identified float. The parade also will receive local television coverage as well as international coverage in Europe.

"Because the Columbus Day Parade is in a key metro market like New York City, it is an excellent opportunity to gain additional awareness for Moretti beer as the number-one Italian import," stated Marco Moretti, brand manager.

"In addition to the Moretti float, there will be Moretti beer merchandising, sampling, and distribution at the celebration's ancillary events as well as in a variety of Italian restaurant locations."
