More Wait Equipment for Richmond Ice Cream

To meet a rapid increase in demand for their ice cream products the Richmond Ice Cream Co have been purchasing remanufactured processing equipment from Charles Wait (Process Plant) Ltd.

Their latest order was for an ice cream plant that makes it one of the largest producers of ice cream in the UK. This new plant has been designed to run at either 5000 or 10,000 litres an hour to pack 1.2 or 4 litre tubs of product.

To support this increase in production Waits of Southport also supplied a Breddo Likwifier. In addition, Richmond ordered an Alfa-Laval H7 model HTST pasteuriser, a Rannie two speed Blue Top homogeniser, plus two ageing silos with a total capacity of 70,000 litres for storing pasteurised ice cream mix.
