More trail gun choices.
Mr. Rodriguez's memories of his youth echo my own, and today's new threats are all too real, but he seems unaware of the new "trail gun" paradigm established by Kel-Tec with the PMR-30. Thirty rounds of .22 WMR, particularly Hornady Critical Defense ammo in this lightweight, highly accurate and reliable pistol should prove a potent deterrent to two- or four-legged predators--and also put that rabbit or squirrel in the pot or crisping over the campfire. While it wasn't designed as a trail gun, the Springfield XD(M) 3.8 in 9mm would also be a good choice because this gun can take a beating that should leave any or all of the tested revolvers inoperable. The PMR-30 and XD(M) naturally reload much faster than any revolver and easily mount a light and/or laser under the barrel for target identification at night and swift accuracy.
