More than half of people's deaths in Kyrgyzstan caused by circulatory system diseases.

51% of the total number of deaths in Kyrgyzstan annually occur due to the circulatory system diseases, the National Statistics Committee reports.

According to the reports, the circulatory system diseases are also the main causes of mortality in the working-age population.

The second reason of deaths in the country is neoplasms (oncological diseases - 125 of the total number of deaths in 2016).

The third place in the death causes list belongs to traumas, poisoning and some other consequences of external causes (8% of the total number of deaths in 2016). This category of reasons includes the unnatural and violent causes of death, including murder and suicide. About 80% of those killed from injuries are working age persons.

6% of deaths in 2016 occurred due to the diseases of the digestive and respiratory organs. Among those died from some infectious and parasitic diseases, a significant proportion are killed from tuberculosis (more than 50%) and mainly at working age.
