More than 500 Migrants Rescued Off Italian Coast.

Rome, August 21 (BNA) - More than 500 migrants were rescued off the Sicilian coast late Tuesday after one of the migrants' three boats fell apart at sea, officials said. The Italian Coast Guard took some of the 233 people to the island of Lampedusa and 335 migrants were saved off the coast of Agrigento, ANSA reported.

The migrants told rescuers they were at sea for about 10 days, officials said. Women and children were among the migrants.
