More laughs.
Over the years, I have snickered at people that write to complain about the products you review or, more accurately, the prices of them. I always thought they should give up on Guns & Ammo if they didn't like what they were reading. With the receipt of my May issue of G&A, I joined the ranks of the whiners. Optics north of six grand? Why even review or test such things? Few, if any, of G&A's readers can afford them! And a shotgun for [dollar]2,000? Perhaps such purchases are possible for some readers, but not me. As a retired deputy on a fixed income, these products warrant only a passing glance. Lately, reading G&A reminds me of when I was a young 'un, looking through catalogs from Herters, Sears and Monkey Wards, checking out all the things I would like to have but couldn't afford. I realize that many products for shooters, hunters and sportsmen in general are expensive, but some of the items G&A reviews are more expensive than what's current military issue. Please give us normal people a break and mix in a few low--to mid-dollar items. Not only would it be interesting, it would make us feel wanted by your magazine. Is there anyone on G&A's staff (with the possible exception being Craig Boddington) who can afford a [dollar]6,000 to [dollar]10,000 thermal?
