MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 27, 1996--Blenheim NDN today announced that DB/EXPO '96 New York will be one of the most action- packed events of the year with industry leaders, such as Informix, IBM, Compuware, Cognos and Texas Instruments, making pivotal new product announcements that will greatly impact the technology market in 1997.
DB/EXPO '96 New York is being held Dec. 2-6 at the Javits Convention Center.
DB/EXPO will also offer attendees a chance to tour "72 Hours @ DB/EXPO" Mission Control -- the show's real-time Web site that features hot DB/EXPO news stories, a yearbook for networking with peers and the ability to create a personalized map of vendor exhibits and conference sessions of interest.
Attendees will view the first real-time public demonstration of the new Informix Universal Server and DataBlade products, and learn how to use the latest Internet technology in their own Web sites.
More than 25,000 IT professionals will flock to DB/EXPO sessions, tutorials and workshops in order to find out more about how they can leverage the latest technology solutions to achieve return-on-investment and improve the bottom line.
The show features a full conference schedule with four tracks: Database and Client/Server Application Development; Data Warehousing, Data Mining and OLAP; Intranet and Electronic Commerce; and Financial Applications.
DB/EXPO's conference director, Colin White, will kick-off the keynotes on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 9:30 a.m. with a presentation on "Visions for the Future." Computer Associate's Charles Wang follows at 9:45 a.m. discussing "Multimedia, Objects and the Web: the Database Solution" and Ed Zander of Sun Microsystems will present "Racing toward the Networked Age" at 12:45 p.m.
On Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 12:30 p.m., the top vendors shaping the direction of the technology industry in 1997, including executives from Sybase, IBM Informix, Computer Associates and Microsoft, will go head-to-head in "The Great Debate."
The exhibition will showcase more than 400 vendor exhibits and several technology-specific pavilions, each delivering opportunities for attendees to preview strategic technology solutions in action.
Pavilions include the Data Warehousing Pavilion, Web Warehousing Center, IBM Partner Pavilion, Informix Partner Pavilion, Internet Village and Financial Solutions Center. Also, the IBM-sponsored Interactive Internet Theater will teach attendees the latest "surfing" techniques for the World Wide Web.
