Moore Family reunion to be July 13.

The 36th annual Moore Reunion was held Saturday, July 13 at the Lions Club in Tower Hill. Along with the regular reunion meal and meeting, there was a special memorial service for Michael Moore, who had passed away Friday, July 5.

Attending from the Pana area were: Connie McComas, Carol Moore, Linda Reed, Dustin Moore and daughter Kinley, Terrie Johnson, Nick and Jaime Chrispen and children Brayden, Noel, Blake, and Kaitlyn, and Jerry and Virginia Miller.

Also attending from Illinois were Rodger and Darla Moore and son Kody of Oconee, Barbara Moore of Springfield, Gary Moore and Betty Taylor of Arthur, Derek Moore and Sarah Presnell of Georgetown, and Mike and Lori Bergbower of Hillsboro.

Traveling from our of state were Ron and Judy Moore and Amanda Lambert and children Kamden and Davannah from Murfreesboro, TN, and Madeline Foltz from Pauling, OH.

The reunion began with a potluck meal at noon, followed by a short business meeting. It was decided to keep the same officers as the previous year: Gary Moore as president, Connie McComas as vice president; and Carol Moore as secretary/treasurer. The group also voted to hold next year's reunion at the Tower Hill Lions Club on the last Saturday in July, which will be July 25, 2020.

Milestones in the Moore family included graduation of Tommy Stokes and Zack Moehrman from high school and Amber Baker from the University of Tennessee as an RN. Madeline Foltz announced the birth of great-granddaughter Scarlett Pease, and Gary Moore told of the birth of his grandson Harrison Joseph Dean Moore. Deaths included those of Nancy Moore and Michael Moore.

Following the meetings, the memorial was held for Michael Moore. Wendell Culberson of Pana, a family friend, gave a short message of remembrance and encouragement in Michael's honor. Carol Moore shared her thoughts about her brother.

Several family members then traveled to Price Cemetery for the interment of his cremains.
