Belotserkovskii and Khlopkov (both Russian Academy of Sciences) present formulations and solutions that are established enough to be considered classical, and results that have endured and have been extended and supplemented in light of developments in corresponding areas of science. They also connect computational aerodynamics with statistical modeling, a gap they find peculiar. Among their topics are the main equations and approaches to solutions of the problems in rarefied gas dynamics, modeling the flow of continuous media, determining the aerodynamical characteristics of the returnable space systems, and the general models describing turbulent flows. They have not indexed their work.
