Money minting mars inquiries against corrupt elements of CDA blunt.

ISLAMABAD -- Inquiries into mega corruption cases against corrupt elements of CDA have gone shelved with FIA since the last 8 years because of minting of money

More than 150 inquiries into cases of allotment of precious plots to private schools, prostitution of power, irregular allotment of plots in Said Pur village, corruption in allotment of plot to Hayat agency hotel, allotment of plot No 21 to cinema in Karachi company, allotment of shops in the market of G-6/3 and Monal restaurant and arts and crafts village are pending with FIA against CDA corrupt employees.

Investigations reveal that the officers against whom inquiries were pending have been appointed in HRD. Some corrupt officers in connivance with the inquiry officer have succeeded in keeping their cases pending till their retirement because an inquiry into corruption case stands ineffective following the retirement of any employee as per CDA rules. 5 inquiries are running against former deputy DG Planning but these have been put to cold storage. 3 inquiries were in progress against former Deputy DG Mehboob ur Rehman but these have gone ineffective as he has crossed the line of retirement. 10 more officers will secure their future in the next 8 months as they will cross the line of retirement.

As many as 39 cases of corruption came to light in CDA in 2012 but no inquiry has been materialized so far.
