Money may grow on trees for firm.

YORKSHIRE Bank is backing an award winning new product from a North Wales company which promises to revolutionise the forestry industry.

The Biotube tree shelter protects trees and shrubs during the first three to five growing seasons and is an environmentally -friendly alternative to plastic shelters.

Its combination of natural resins and fibres means it is 100% degradable, wiping out labour and disposal costs associated with plastic shelters.

The product is the brainchild of Llangefni-based BioCycle Ltd -established in 2003 by husband and wife team David and Adrianne Jones.

Yorkshire Bank's Financial Solutions Centre in Liverpool agreed pounds 250,000 of development finance for the product.
