Moments of mayhem.
HAVING witnessed the worst debut I have ever seen in 50 years I have to ask what goes on in a footballer's brain.Within three minutes of his much heralded arrival as a Burnley substitute Ade Akinbiyi, below, destroyed any relationship he might have hoped to build with his new club's fans.
It cost Steve Cotterill pounds 600,000 to acquire the services of a striker who seems to miss more than he scores, but that's a side issue.
Stoke City who sold him, and Sheffield United who professed "disappointment" at not signing him, must be laughing their socks off after Akinbiyi's dismal debut against Sunderland "live" on TV last Friday.
In case you blinked he came on with 15 minutes to go, wasted a golden chance to score with his first touch, then rabbit punched an opponent in the neck, head butted him into the bargain, and no doubt swore when the referee promptly produced a red card.
He might have had three - and all in the space of three inglorious minutes!
No wonder Cotterill shook his head in disbelief.
I make that pounds 200,000 a minute for a man who'll be known as Ade the Baddie in Burnley.
