Momentary switches. (What's Hot).
New SW44217 and SW44220 pushbutton momentary switches with dual- and quad-lamp design are engineered for maximum lamp/LED redundancy and brightness. They are suitable for use as warning lights in industrial and avionics displays, audio controls, instrument panel controls, and other high-density panel applications where high illumination and reliability are important.
The snap-feel illuminated pushbutton switches feature gold-plated contacts and interchangeable lenses with clear top cover, black opaque sides, and legend plates (red standard). Legends are 0.125 in. high with black fill.
Designed to accommodate up to four T-1 (3 mm) sub-midget flange-based lamps or LEDs, the switches measure 0.75 in. sq and require about 1.6 in. of space behind the display panel. They mount into a standard 0.698 in. sq hole via backup bracket using a 2-56 x 3/16 in. Philips head screw. Interconnection is provided with standard solder lug terminals and accepts 20 AWG wire or can be provided with PC board terminals or wire harness.
The switches are rated at 30 Vdc or 115 Vac, 2A resistive, 0.5 A inductive. Other specifications include operating pressures of 16 oz ([+ or -] 4 oz) for the Model SW44217 and 32 oz ([+ or -] 8 oz) for the Model SW44220, and a rated switch life of 100,000 minimum actuations.
