Molson ICE helps break cold war.

Molson Canadian Ice, the first ice-filtered beer in Canada, is on sale now in retail outlets throughout British Columbia and Alberta.

As part of Molson Canadian Ice's official launch, the beer was supplied to the organizers of the Vancouver summit meetings between Russian President Boris Yeltsin and U.S. President Bill Clinton. Molson Ice was sampled by many participants at the summit, particularly the media.

Molson Canadian Ice contains 5.5 percent alcohol by volume and is ice filtered during the brewing process, said John Winter, president, Western Region, Molson Breweries.

"Ice filtration allows us to brew Molson Canadian Ice as a clean, crisp beer with resulting benefits including a longer shelf life and higher alcohol content," Winter said.
