Models say employer prefers blonds.

Polo Ralph Lauren is being sued by two former employees who claim only blue-eyed blonds get promotion with the US fashion giant.

They have filed a discrimination lawsuit in New York against the trendsetting company, charging that it treats blond, white employees better than minorities.

'That image is a factor in their pay, promotion and hiring practices,' said lawyer Steven Arenson, who represents the plaintiffs.

Henry Williams, who is black, and Gerardeen Benedict, who is of Filipino descent, filed their suit in Manhattan federal court.
