Model helpers.

More than 60 wannabe models turned up for a fund-raising fashion night at a Tyneside bar.

Tyne Tees Models talent scouts held the event at the Tokyo bar, on Newcastle's Westgate Road, with proceeds going to St Oswald's Hospice children's unit, in Newcastle.

Jane Moscardini, of Middle Green, Monkseaton, arranged last night's event after witnessing the level of care provided by staff at the Gosforth hospice.

Jane, 20, a fashion student hopes to have raised more than pounds 400 for the charity. She said: "Both my grandparents died from cancer so I know it must take a lot of heart to work at somewhere like St Oswald's."
