MobileAccess and Sprint Partner to Deploy State-of-the-Art Wireless Infrastructure at the George Washington University Hospital.

Universal Wireless Network Enhances Communication Among Physicians, Improving Patient Care and Productivity

VIENNA, Va. -- MobileAccess Networks, the foremost enterprise wireless innovator, announced today that it is working together with Sprint (NYSE: S) to install its Wire-it-Once[TM] Universal Wireless Network at the George Washington University Hospital. Using the MobileAccess solution, Sprint will provide wireless coverage of its services on both the Nextel National Network and Nationwide Sprint PCS Network throughout the 400,000 square-foot facility over a single wireless infrastructure. With this state-of-the-art deployment, physicians and caregivers using Sprint and Nextel handsets can communicate among each other and access patient information from almost anywhere in the facility, boosting productivity and enhancing the overall patient experience.

At The George Washington University Hospital, wireless technologies and applications are increasingly vital tools for delivering high-quality patient care. In developing its wireless strategy with Sprint, the hospital realized they needed a solution that not only delivered pervasive wireless coverage, but also could adapt to their evolving wireless requirements. Ultimately, The George Washington University Hospital sought a flexible in-building wireless infrastructure that could cost effectively expand and adapt to new, perhaps unanticipated, future wireless requirements.

"We are excited to work with partners like MobileAccess to provide differentiated and innovative mobile solutions that are critical for every business. By providing a scalable coverage and capacity platform for wireless voice and data services on our two strong networks, CNS solutions can enhance the mobility and productivity of staff at George Washington University Hospital," said Mike Wajsgras, director of sales for CNS, Sprint. "This new solution facilitates constant communication of secure information amongst hospital staff; an aspect very critical to patient care."

The modular design of the MobileAccess solution allows The George Washington University Hospital to deploy the platform with confidence, knowing that it supports all of their current wireless communications needs while maintaining the flexibility to adapt to new, perhaps unanticipated, future wireless requirements.

"The George Washington University Hospital is one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in the country," said Richard Becker, MD, Chief Executive Officer, The George Washington University Hospital. "We are constantly exploring opportunities to remain on the cutting-edge. We are pleased Sprint selected the MobileAccess solution because it enables our 830 physicians and 680 nurses to better serve the 200,000 patients we treat each year. The ability to use Sprint's wireless services to quickly communicate throughout the hospital is a critical component for delivering enhanced patient care."

"George Washington University Hospital's physicians, nurses and administrators depend on reliable wireless service to collaborate on critical and confidential patient data. Having reliable coverage is no longer a convenient option, it's a necessity," said Cathy Zatloukal, president and CEO of MobileAccess Networks. "While the current focus is on providing comprehensive coverage for Sprint's services, our solution is designed to be multi-service capable so that hospital planners can remain flexible and expand coverage as they grow. With our Wire-it-Once[TM] approach, the hospital can cost-effectively add new services and applications, such as additional cellular services, Wi-Fi, wireless medical telemetry or location-based services, without disturbing the sensitive hospital environment or disrupting existing services."
