Former bond daddy Billy McCord, who started in car sales prior to his meteoric crash and burn in the bond business, has invested in a new "upscale, late model, very low mileage" used-car business at the Auto Mall on West Markham.

The venture, called Gary Tippit Executive Motors, will be open for business by the time you read this. Markham.

The venture, called Gary Tippit Executive Motors, will be open for business by the time you read this. Right now, there's a shiny red |66 Corvette in the former Dick Layton Buick space, and spattered on the walls are posters of little boys' dream cars.

Tippit, who has more than 20 years of auto background and six years in investments, says of McCord, "I don't know if he'll be here much, but I wish he would be."
