MoF introduces latest e-financial systems to Qatari Ministry of Economy and Finance delegation.

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) hosted a two-day long delegation from the Qatari Ministry of Economy and Finance (MOEF) at its headquarters in Dubai.

MoF briefed the delegation on the e-financial systems that have been adopted by the federal government, as well as the specialised systems - especially the financial and administrative federal system GFMIS - implemented in the areas of financial government procedures.

The delegation was received by HE Saeed Rashid Al Yateem, Assistant Undersecretary of Resources and Budget Sector at MoF, and HE Mariam Mohammad Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Management of Financial Resources at MoF, while the Qatari delegation was headed by HE Director of the General Budget Department at the Economy and Finance Ministry Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani, in the presence of a number of directors of departments, as well as staff from both ministries.

During the visit, MoF briefed the Qatari delegation on its various departments, while the Budget Department presented MoF's processes in preparing the draft general budget of the Union. In addition, the Development Revenue Department presented a detailed explanation of the mechanics of the e-Dirham system, its development stages and the benefits it provides in the rational and practical use of financial resources.

The Department of Coordination of Fiscal Policies presented its most prominent tasks and some of its projects such as; the government financial coordination policies and its technical group, the UAE's consolidated financial report and the Emirates Gate of GFS reports, in addition to the main 2013 fiscal objectives of the administration.

The Financial Operations Department discussed a number of projects and financial regulations adopted by the Ministry such as the financial and administrative federal system - GFMIS, Smart BI reporting system, automated budgeting system and visual analysis of the Federal Government, in addition to the government finance statistics reports.
