In preparation for the upcoming 2016 Presidential Election, mnemonic-device.com has announced that they are joining the race to the White House. On their site, When A Joke Made Me A Joker is a rhyme to remember all of the U.S. Presidents, from George Washington to Barack Obama. Now, they're preparing to add (Trump or Clinton) as the newest president. Contestants should complete the existing mnemonic with their preferred presidential candidate. Entries can be submitted at mnemonic-device.com. The winner will be announced after the general election in November. Everyone is invited to join this contest, to shape the future of a study tool, for generations of students yet to come.

"This is so cool! I learned it while in the Sixth Grade in 1942," Edee Watt commented when she saw the presidents' mnemonic.

Most everyone knows at least one mnemonic (ne-mon'-ic) even without having the technical name for it. Mnemonic devices assist the memory by use of a fun word, phrase, or poem; and these in turn represent more complicated information. For instance, by remembering the well-known "ROY G. BIV," the order and colors of the rainbow can be easily recalled (i.e., Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet).

These educational tools help people to learn information easily and remember it forever. Anyone can join this effort by completing the mnemonic for the next President of the United States.
