Mitt Romney's wife Ann 'turned down Vogue profile offer '.

London, September 1 ( ANI ): Mitt Romney's wife Ann reportedly refused to appear in Vogue magazine, as the offer was made by the publications' editor in chief Anna Wintour - a Obama supporter.

Instead the 63-year-old First Lady hopeful has relied on the broadcast media to reach the masses as the race for the White House hots up.

Wintour is rated as a "top bundler" in the political world, meaning she helped to pull in more than 500,000 dollars, including a 40,000 dollar a night dinner at the home of 'Sex and The City' star Sarah Jessica Parker.

She has also advised First Lady Michelle Obama on how to manage her image, receiving an exclusive interview in thanks.

Over recent years Vogue's political coverage has increased and women such as Sarah Palin, Huma Abedin, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Elizabeth Warren have appeared in the pages of the magazines.

However, according to the New Republic magazine, one person with knowledge of the negotiations said that "Republicans have recently been less eager to appear in the magazine."

"A hoped-for profile of Ann Romney fell through earlier this year," the source said. ( ANI )
